HI guy,s ... ummmm pardon the ignorance of this post, but would anyone possibly have a picture. of the location of the ground strap of the battery.( ie. the bolt to which it attaches to)..... As junior helped to pull the engine, and he,s now in Aegis radar school in Dahlgren VA,....i,m at a loss to which bolt or grounding point it attaches to. Any and all replies are appreciated. (and. "you dummy" comments are expected)...Thanks..Chris...( oh... btw.... it,s an 80 440 ltd model)...

any good frame bolt will work, just make sure that the surface and the bolt are clean, no rust no paint, and it wouldnt hurt to run a ground to the engine just in case

If you use the electric start, you'd want it to go to the engine case somewhere.

On my bike, on the right side engine cover, at about 11am, there is a screw which runs through the battery grounding cable. My guess is that a still loose screw on the engine case is the one that the strap came out of, when the engine was removed.
