I just wanted to let everyone know, this is a sweet little investment for your bike. You hook up a connector on the + and - terminals on your battery, and run the connector under your side cover. Then when you don't ride your bike for a while, you can just plug your bike into any old electrical socket and the battery maintains maximum charge. It will automatically shut off and then start charging again when it senses the battery is below a good charge.

I love this thing.

I've had the original Battery Tender for a few years now and it works great! Plug it in when I get home and a few days or a week later it's fully charged when I'm ready to go. Just remember to keep an eye on the electrolite level. My air cleaner is right next to the battery so I just stuff the wire in there, does not seem to bother anything.

I got the black and decker version at Walmart, was about the same price. It does 2 or 4 amps, auto shut off. Comes with the permenant connector and the aligator clips. Course, it's orange so it matches my bike :)
Anyway, I love the thing, I plug it in when I get home from riding.
