quick question does anyone know where i can get a replacement front brakelight switch for disk brakes on a 76 kz400. ive looked at local bike shops but most around go by the policy(if we have to order it were gonna rape you for it)

the cheapest price ive found so far from locals is
89.00i think thats outragious for that part but for all i know that could be the going rate.

any help is appreciated.

Two things:

1.) that switch was used across a wide array of bikes from the era - if you need a list I can make one. Remember, eBay is your "friend"...

ive been lookin on ebay daily since i bought the bike since its used and im looking for nos parts but i havnt seen a brakelight switch yet.

Unless I am mistaken, that switch is part of the splitter where the top hose connects to the bottom hose or hoses depending on the application. I suggest that you can probably find that switch / splitter on eBay if you look for a day or two. It appears to be the same one used on most KZs. If you consider swapping to aftermarket, I am pretty sure Denniskirk.com sells them.
