Hi,

What's the lowest amperage you can use on a 12V sealed battery with an electric start bike?

I'm trying to find a good AGM or SLA battery to replace my battery with this year, but all of them seem to be a bit big for the 550 battery box. Hope I don't have to build a new battery box for this..though I guess it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

My battery is 5.25(L)x3.25(W)x6.25(H) - incase anyone knows of a battery that would fit.

That is a good question. I don't think you would find anything advertised with less than 100A peak demand, which would be suitable for even a big twin, much less a four. And only then if all available power is being delivered cleanly to the starter motor.
With a scooter you could, or rather might get away with half that.

Shoe 48 is a member here and at one time he told me about a good supplier he found for batteries. You might want to PM him and ask where he gets his batteries. Or maybe he will see this thread and fill you in.

I do have a 12V 7aH SLA sitting here - would that hack it?

It's got F1/F2 connectors though - those tabs, instead of posts. Does that matter? I guess I'd have to make up an adaptor to hook into the stock wires.
