I am going to upgrade my coil on my 1976 KZ900. I was thinking Dyna. Whick one do I get 1.5 or 3 omh. Or is there a better set to get? Also which are the best wires?

1977 KZ1000LTD
1978 Z1R
1981 GPz1100 KZ1100-B1

i beleave you want the 3 ohm.
i bought accel with leads off e bay they are nice made a hell of a difference in my opinion.
not sure which is best Dyna or Eccel there is also Andrews ive seen, someone will tell you more about these im sure who is more in the know.

Only experience is with Dyna 3 ohm from Z1E and couldn't be more pleased -- installed on both Z1 and '96 LTD. Also have Dyna S ignition (replaces points) and Dyna plug wires (come with caps already assembled). All available from Z1E (read something here recently about Dyna S coils being on back order, but don't know if that's the current situation). :)

yes indeed! the 3 ohm dyna setup (with coils) made a huge difference on my kz900. it is worth the money.

Here's a picture of the Dyna 3 ohm coils installed on a '76 KZ900. They bolt right on, but the plug wire routing is a little different. I ran mine as shown here:
