Well, I know in 1980 they started using "80 mph" speedos so it's pre '80.

1980 KZ650F1, Bought new out the door for $2,162.98!

They are standard looking instruments used from about 1976-1979, but the unusual 8000rpm redline rules out KZ650,900,1000 from the possibles so my guess would be KZ750 twin. Anyone here confirm 8000rpm redline on that model as I have no idea? I doubt smaller than 750 because of the 140mph speedo.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Gauges on my 79 750 twin are 140mph speedo, and a ~7800 RPM redline on the tach. Those look pretty close, but I cannot tell how many lights in the middle - 4 perhaps? (Neutral/high beam/oil/stop lamp).

And how are you guys reading the redline on the tiny pics? Am I gettin THAT old? :pinch:
