Diffrent Carbs

I am getting a 78 KZ1000 shown here I know it has been awhile since it ran and I am taking the carbs off but I have a set of carbs off a 82 KZ1100 can I put those on my KZ1000?

you will need the rubber boots from the 1100. and you have to elongate the mounting holes in the boots to fit the smaller intake

I do have the boots and every thing ells from the carbs .

If those are the 26's on it now then I guess you can up-size them but be sure to check the throttle hookup and alignment to your air box.

You'll probably have to rejet anyways, so I would reccommend to scrap the filter and switch to pods for simplcity and style :)

Jeff Saunders @z1enterprises.com can get the rubber boots that are a direct bolt on.
Or frank at Powerhouse. That's where i got mine.
