Were the bad diaphrams oem or aftermarket?

Aftermarket - $19/each from JBM Industries. But I slept on it and really can't bitch - put nearly 12K miles on that bike in the 16 months since I'd replaced them. Most of those have been on the smaller motor so I've been pushing the hell out of it for a while.

Been running 93 10% ethanol through it since I bought it, but the place up the street now has ethanol-free 93 so that's what it gets here on out, And I'll order another pair. You know, just in case :)

edit: The shot diaphrams didn't look terrible... 5 or 6 pinholes evenly spaced midway between the center and the lip. IDK what "Normal" wear oughtta look like but I'm thinking that's probably normal wear.

5 or 6 pinholes is NOT normal wear. That sounds like defect in materials when it was made. I've got diaphragms that are 30 years old and still work fine. Just my opinion.
Don't fix it until it's broken.
