Maybe some fuel accumulated in the exhaust and is just sitting in there? Seems like it should all evaporate, but it happens all the time with two strokes, albeit a gas/oil mixture.

Because if you were really getting that much raw fuel through the engine. the o2 sensor would be going crazy.

FIRST THING - thanks very much for the help.

Well Loudhvx got me going though the Ignition system. It all checked out but for the advancer. I took it off to clean it and noticed that the guide pin that is in the end of crank to turn advancer shaft had one of its ears dented or pushed in.

The problem it caused? there was .026 thousandths wobble in the main body of the advancer.....it was moving forwards and backwards that amount due to the damaged pin.

How can I say that was the problem? because I got a new pin, installed it and the bike idled perfect, ran great on test drive and when I got home......I had a smile stuck on my face.

I just put a Larry Cavanagh head on the bike. The bike has a 29 tooth rear sprocket and would break my 150 x 18 rear tire loose during full throttle in first and second gear no problem, no clutch input. It really is a insane ride due to head, big difference.

I seem to find all these crazy freegin problems......could have been chasing this for over year before finding it

That WEGO looks nice. The Innovate has been superseded by the LC-2. It is extremely important that the unit includes a very high quality O2 sensor, and that you follow proper procedures with it; such as never running the engine without it being powered up.

I did read the instructions for once........

Thanks for the heads up.

I have it wired to come on when ignition is on, so shouldn't be a problem.

Getting these carbs dialed in is not easy.

I did a sync on them and have all four carbs dead on. They were way off. I will place a number to the carbs to show the difference though the rack.

1. 8
2. 9
3. 12
4. 11
_________________________________________________________________

This is the setup I have as of tonight

P-6 NEEDLE JET (UP TWO FROM STOCK P-4)
-3 SLOT ON JET NEEDLE (STOCK)
17.5 PILOT JET (STOCK)
PILOT FUEL SCREW (1-TURN)
0.8 AIR JET (STOCK)
130 MAIN JET

B8ES PLUGS AT 0.26 GAP
DYNA-S AT 38 DEG TIMMING

IDLE:
12.8 AFR

PART THROTTLE OR CRUISE:
13.3 AFR

WIDE OPEN THROTTLE:
10.5 to 11 AFR
Running rich and laying down, not pulling. Would like to get AFR up to 12.2
_____________________________________________________________

Well its Sat 5/31/14

I'm going to try a new setup today and see if it likes it. I was getting to 9 or 10 AFR at times under full throttle. Am trying to lean out the 3/4 to full throttle a bit Would like to get up in 12's and see how it runs.

P-6 NEEDLE JET (UP TWO FROM STOCK P-4)
-2 SLOT ON JET NEEDLE (1 down from stock)
17.5 PILOT JET (STOCK)
PILOT FUEL SCREW 3/4 -TURN ( moving from 1 - turn )
0.8 AIR JET (STOCK)
125 MAIN JET ( moving from a 130 main to a 125 main)

Seems your running as follows...
Idle: Still Lean
MID: Slightly rich but pending temps and % of accuracy of the Wego, may be ok
WOT: Too Rich

Obviously other factors such as ignition timing, cam specifications/degreeing, head porting, etc.... all come into the equation as well...

AZ temps & Elevation on my setup....
NOTE: pending ambient AZ temps (80 - 100F) @ ~ 1200 elevation, low humidty <30%...

IDLE: AFR ~ 10.8 - 11.5 @ 1000-1200 rpm
Cruise - MID Range, steady throttle @ 4000-5500 rpm (~ 60 - 75 mph), ~ 13 - 14.3
WOT: ~ 12. - 14, pending throttle twist vs steady throttle

Maybe this will help.....

Well I tried a new setup today and it really liked it. I am very close .

Idles great and is really pulling hard all the way through without laying down. Sick fast.

My high lean was 15.4 AFR
My low rich was 10.4 AFR

The great news is these were just quick spikes about a second in duration max. My avg AFR was 13.5.

The RS carbs are a bit harder to tune due to the accel pump......you can set it to come in at different throttle positions, need to mess with this and get it right.

COLD START IDLE: 10.5 AFR
WARM IDLE: 11.9
PART THROTTLE / CRUISE: 13.4 AFR
WIDE OPEN THROTTLE: 12.8 AFR

Thanks OMR.
