Thanks, everybody.

I'll switch to Vaseline for gasket and O-ring prep.

BTW, I did have the carbs rebuilt last year. Commutes great at 75 MPH getting 42 MPG on 87 octane gas.

Chap stick on both sides of bowl and top gaskets works good also to keep them from drying out/sticking.
