If the bike pulls good through the RPMs it doesn't need changing. Is there any flat spots when you ride?

And spend all my time polishing copper? Not likely! ;)

A Small kitchen fire didn't allow me to get video, but here is a picture. Ignore the seat.

Once it got warmed up, it ran ok, but kept

Obviously, your bike is angry with you over the apehanger and lounge chair forward controls.

How's it sound?

Once it warms up, it doesn't run too bad. It absolutely hates me under 3K RPMs, but above that it goes pretty good. Even warmed up it wants to idle lower than before. Idle was usually 1k-1200. NOw it's more like 850-1k and sitting still it sounds like it wants to die, but doesn't. It still tries to stall when I'm coming down the street in 2nd gear and then clutch and downshift as I brake to turn into my driveway, or to make the U-turn at the end of the street. I kept blipping the throttle with the clutch in to keep it from stalling.

That would happen on occasion before but mostly if I was going along pretty good and then clutch and get on the brakes to slow way down to make a tight turn or a stop. But that only really occurred if those conditions occurred in the first 5 minutes of my morning ride to work.

I spliced three clips together. The first part is about a month ago with stock pipes. The second part is with the Cherry Bombs (cruising in 2nd at roughly 3500 Rpms or so). The third is coming the other way in 1st and reving it up to shift to second.

My 10 year old did the filming with my phone. He didn't listen when I told him to stand behind the blue Suburban like he did in the first video segment, so it's not quite an "equal comparison" but I think you can tell the difference.

Ignore the fat guy on the bike, that's just me.

Yeah, sounds like you need some carb work... Are they synched? How about your pilot screws?

I don't know. The plan for winter is to do valve clearances, rebuild and sync the carbs, header seals and clean up some of the wiring. Plus finish the seat.

I know Jack about the valves, and the carbs so it's gonna be a rough winter. Got some learning to do. I have the factory Manual on CD to go by.

Yeah, step one to carb adjustment is to get the valves right, so they all pull the proper amount of vacuum. it's not too difficult, especially if you have the manual.
After that, buy or build a balance manometer.
