This whole system is so ghetto... I try not to question it... The theory is sound. so let's rock it. I just have to manage to figure out how the adjustment screws work without breaking anything.

If the lock nuts are frozen soak them for a couple days with Kroil or another high quality penetrating oil so you don't break anything by forcing it. They should loosen with very little effort. Ed

I used spray gasket sealer on my carbs holders a long time ago, I'm still trying to peel it off those screws.

Ok got my carbs synced and adjusted my idle and pilot valves and now it runs like a champ.

I used 2 stroke oil for the fluid. Having all 4 together was messy and inaccurate so I did 2 carbs at a time. I synced 2-3 then 3-4 and then 1-2. It runs like a different animal now. Idle is much more stable and it is easier to start. Smooth through the entire range. For a home made sync tool it worked fantastically.

I took it for a 30 minute cruise around town and no problems whatsoever. All I am waiting on now is for my throttle cable to arrive.

I think w CV carburetors, one method is to sync them in pairs: 1-2, then 3-4, then sync 1/2 & 3/4 as a pair.

I made a similar one for my twin Honda it works just fine Mine used 36inch ruler and the plastic pipe just taped with clear scotch tape. cost $5

If I make an identical one I could use it for my Kawi four, good luck yours is worth keeping and working on, sorry at this stage I cannot give much advice on setting up a Four ,
