Have you checked the small seals on each side of the throttle shaft? They can be a vacuum leak. Seals are available, at least for the BS34, I would think the BS38 would be too or possibly the same seal.

not trying to point out the obvious as though no-one could see it. maybe it is the throttle cable can be adjusted, is there any play in it.

No, it's not the cables. It's not so bad that I can't live with it, would just like to get it right.

I'm thinking it's likely that right carb holder or the balance tube between the carb holders not fully sealed.

i had some problems with mine, this forum has helped me a-lot. as i was taking the intersection of xxxxxxx xxxxxx road and xxxxx ave i decided haul ass to make the light. i had to lean really good on this one and i got so low that i saw the camry in the turn lane was missing a lug nut, also i caught my boot under my footpeg.
