Okay, anybody here know what 3D printing is? There are formulations of transparent fuel-resistant plastic that could be used to print float bowls... I don't have any of the stuff to do it, I just know it's possible.

I know!
Noticed there are no overflows on those ebay ones.
Better hope all is working well, float needle and seat, so carbs don't flood out the engine.

Those clear bowls would go with the clear points cover I have.

I never saw those before. Like to see them installed, with motor running!

That thread was removed because it violated the advertising rule. You guys can talk about a product and how good it might be but actually offering a sale is only permitted in the classifieds and then only on a consumer to consumer basis.

Thanks for your understanding.

Bill
My mistake. That thread was moved to the for sale classifieds.

Hi rstnick,

Are you saying that that clear points cover is a print job? I'm pretty familiar with 3D printing but have never seen a print that would be liquid tight.

Bill

I was always curious on how they would look installed with motor running. Kind of like the old glass fuel filters that were popular in the early 80's - only cooler!

No Bill, I bought the clear cover off ebay UK.

No need for it to be liquid tight on the 650s, as there is no liquid/oil behind that cover.
As far as for keeping rain out, I guess the cover does do that, but I have seen a vented points cover (custom made) on another 650. He hade it vented to help cool the electronic ignition pick ups as they seemed to over heat.

Clear cover;

Vented cover, a little hard to see, but there is a scoop on the front side, and holes in the rear;
