This might be a dead thread, but I'm looking for some info as I have 2 problems. I'm running a zephyr 750/810 with CR29 carbs. Now the cr29's don't have vacuum ports for the stock petcock, which is fine, because the stock petcock also clashes with the new carbs.

I need a really small petcock solution which is manual (no vacuum) and potentially has 2 outlets, but most importantly clears the carbs. If it's a single outlet I could use a splitter to feed the carb rail.

I'm not certain on the spacing of the bolts, but the part is 51023-1267 and apparently interchangable with EN500 Vulcans and I'm sure a bunch of other bikes.

I'm getting the holes measured tonight so will post back, but I'm wondering if anyone running a Pingel or a Golan valve can share the dimensions of the valve / adapter plate used? It's going to get real tight so I'd love some certainty before dropping $100 on what are hopefully the right parts.

Cheers beers,

BK

confirmed 34mm spacing. What options are out there?

I saw a Pingel dual outlet fuel valve on eebbaayy listed for the Yamaha Raptor, but it had a single fuel pickup, so you wouldn't have a reserve. Here are a few single outlet that I've saved in my favorites. some extend further down from the tank than others. .... eebbaayy search = Yamaha raptor fuel valve. or warrior. or banshee. etc.

Yamaha Banshee. fuel outlet = 8mm. Japan.

Yamaha Raptor. Japan. bolt hole spacing? probably 34mm.

universal fuel valve

Yamaha Raptor. Japan.

As space is so tight, I went with the smallest option I could find. The pingel even looked too big. Will have a custom adapter plate made to suit. Plus these Golan are slick units with a ball bearing mechanism in the switch :)

Kills me that it's for a harley, but I just think of it as universal :)

That first one I linked fits up close to the tank & it's 34 mm. seems like that would've been a good choice, especially since it's an oem made in Japan part & no adapter plate needed.

Hello Martin, do you know if those "murphs manual conversion kits" are still available...?

I guess so, as it's still listed on the site. click Concours there on the upper left, then click fuel system.
I don't know if the kit is suitable for KZ or other petcocks. The ports on the Concours may be oriented differently or something. ???

I had the same issue with my RS36 hitting the petcock. Here was my solution and pretty cheap. I cut up the original petcock and used the base. I epoxied the hole left over from removing the valve assembly. I poured in some fuel tank liner to seal the epoxy from the gas. I tapped a hole for a 90 degree barbed fitting on the side of the base. I put on a short tube onto the barbed fitting to an on / off valve petcock which I epoxied onto the bottom of the tank. From there a gas line to the carbs. I have no reserve but it is simple and inexpensive.
