The screws, in the case of the TK-22 carbs are called air screws because they control the amount of air in the pilot system. They are on the filter side of the carbs.

The Spectre uses TK-26 carbs, from what I remember, and they may be different from the TK-22 with regard to where the screws are located. If the screws are located on the engine side of the carbs, then they are most likely mixture screws. In that case, they control the amount of gas and air getting through the pilot system.

The TK-setting is 1-3/8 (+/- 1/4) turns out from seated (lightly seated).

It's hard to tell in the photos, but it looks like they will work. If the taper is different, then the setting may have to be adjusted using the lean-drop method with a super-accurate diagnostic tach (they are pretty cheap nowadays). Obviously make sure the threads are the same, and the spring must be long enough to keep tension on the screw for up to 2-1/2 or 3 turns minimum. Also, since the screw appears longer, make sure that o-ring will be in a psotion where it will seal in the screw bore. Make sure the screw bore is clean in the area where the o-ring will seat.

If all 4 of the old screws and orings look good, I would just use them, maybe just replace the o-ring. Put a tiny tiny dab of antiseize on the leading edge of the threads as it goes in.

Does that setting apply to all TK carburetors or the TK-22 or TK-26? I'm just confused because my plugs are the perfect color yet my screws are all around 2 1/2 (+/- 1/2)

That's only for the TK-22 carbs, and only for stock intake and exhaust.

I don't know what the TK-26's would be set at.

With different exhaust and intake, the setting could still be the same depending on if the pilots, mains, and needles were changed.
