Hi Everyone,

The polyester plugs that plugs the pilot jet access may be a little shrunken and I suspect they may be leaking. I was told by someone to get a rubber plug from Z1, but then someone else said not to because they will fall out because the polyester plug is actually held "up" by the float bowl.

Anyway, new polyester plugs are over $15/piece!!!! I was thinking about getting some of the yellow teflon tape (I think its for petroleum product use) and wrapping the caps with that and try to get a tighter fit. I plan on being careful to not let the tap fray or rip and get into the jet...

Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure the pilot plug from any Suzuki GS1100 will work, I beleive you need to cut a small amount of length off the suzuki plug when fitting a KZ bowl. Here's the p/n : 13357-44080 $3 ea.

Kawasaki.com, owner info, parts diagrams etc say that the part #11012-1128 is still active but limited quantities.

I would suggest your kawasaki dealer as the best bet.

You can buy a whole selection of different sizes, a lifetime supply of guitar strings which is what I use to clean pilot jets. Its worked for me for 40 years. One thing I dont advise is what the PO of my GS1100 Suzuki did was use the tips of rubber gloves to plug the pilot jet holes instead of the correct rubber plugs on the Cv carbs
