Those are OK, just make sure it is clean, you can hook it up to the fuel line, but not the carbs and point it into a clean container, then turn petcock to prime and rinse it out.

Hey guys, thanks for all the help. I am sorry I am so full of noob questions... this is my first bike I have bought which needed a lot of "love" from the beginning. All I could afford... but I am actually enjoying getting to know her as well.

Anyway, after digging through the Kawasaki parts diagrams, I think I know what I am looking for. It looks like there are two vent nipples feeding from one location between carbs 3 and for. Does it matter where they run to? The vents are behind (towards the back of the bike) the vac line, also between carbs 3 and 4. Please take a look at the pics below and advise if I am missing anything here. Thanks again

Here's a good in-line fuel filter (the kind I use).

I just looked. The line coming across that was not connected is the vac line....

An unused vac line left open will cause a huge air leak.

Any unused vac nipple should be plugged (capped) during normal operation.

These are first class:

Ok, so would an uncapped vacuum line possibly be part of the problem with the fuel coming out of the carbs? Picture I attached is how I plan on taking care of the lines, anyone see any "issues". Again, thanks all. I am learning a ton.

Nope. No relation to fuel from carbs.
Likely a float valve issue or float issue, or maybe a cracked overflow tube.

Nope. Don't see any issues.
But doesn't exclude possible internal carb problems.

Good Fortune! :)
