Hi, my son (Kitten Tooth here) bought an '81 KZ1000-K without an airbox. I got a good deal on one on ebay last night but it didn't include the boots from the airbox to carbs. I was hoping one of you kind folks would have some for sale? Part# is 14073-104. I'm also looking for the little angled hose that attaches to the bottom (92059-1156) and possibly the 2 air box brackets (32070-038) - thanks.

The airbox ducts are listed as Active at Kawasaki.com & Z1Enterprises.com sells them. They should be able to get the other stuff if it's available.

Yep, I'm the dad :). I used to ride when I was younger ('73 z900) but sort of gave it up when I got married. A few years ago, I got the itch again and bought this bike. Tim (Kitten Tooth), took to it like a fish to water and he was riding along with me the next year on his GS300L starter bike. He paid for all of it himself (maybe w/ a little help - but not much). Thanks for the comments, I'm pretty happy with the kid.

found the boots. They do have the springs with them to attach to the carbs.Cleaned them up and packed them.If u will pm me an addy I will send ur way tomorrow. They were run on a bike for awhile so have "set" into the shape that fits a specific carb and airbox opening.U will need to play with them and see which one goes where.Also.before installing soak in hot water for awhile. Makes them pliable and easier to work with.Enjoy.bj

I guess.Since Im sending these on free'somewhat stiff and inflexible(like me) will have to do for now. If they want to invest in a set of newun's later they can.The ones on my bike are 30 years old and work fine.If they were carb boots, thats another issue altho Im running a 30 year ols set of those as well.Just like Irish whiskey, cheese and women--some things get better with age.bj
