Thanks Old Man
I'm not at the house right now so going by memory. My cams look like yours in the top left pic. I know the bolt pattern on the cam sprockets are not the same as the manual so guess they may not be OEM. The pin count on the sprockets is correct.

At TDC, #1 lobes are 180deg apart and aligned with the valve housing deck. #4 lobes are not quite pointed at each other with the exhaust slightly lower then horizontal.

If I have adjustable sprockets that are misaligned won't realigning them to fix #4 throw #1 out of alignment? Are the cam lobes themselves adjustable?

Thanks.

Lobes are not adjustable themselves... This is accomplished through CAM degreeing....

Here's a tutorial I wrote for this...
NOTE: This caused some controversy due to others regarding humor and offensive language...

Use at own risk... The info is accurate...

Holy crap man, now my head really hurts. I'm glad there are people who enjoy figuring all of that out. Thats way too much stuff for me to get involved with right now.

I guess to simplify my question. On the exhaust cam shaft should the #1 and #4 lobes not be oriented 180deg from each other?

I appreciate the help but there is no way I'm getting into all of that right now. Looks like the bike is gonna be tarped and put into storage. Just don't have the time for this. I really hoped to get it going and try it out before I left.

LOL, I'm an idiot. Looked at it again during my lunch break. Don't know what I was smokin' last night. All appears well.

In the light of day:
Both sprockets appear to be OEM with 28 pin spacing.
At TDC, sprocket marks and cam lobes line up like they should.

I don't think I was actually at TDC before. So tonight I'll button up the valve cover and hit it with a timing light. If that checks out I'll pull carbs tommorrow and clean em up like they've never been cleaned before.

Thanks. (those pictures helped alot btw)
