In need of a petcock handle was created by slowman
I'm starting to get sick of turning my petcock on and off with a flathead screwdriver. :D

I have a non-vaccum petcock with On, Off, and Res. It mounts in along with a spring (which I don't need), and stays in place using a single phillips head screw from the bottom. If anyone has one, I would greatly appreciate it. Send a private message and let me know what you want for it!

Thanks! :)

Ditto for me. The metal handle of the petcock came off from the plastic part inside. If someone has another "extra one"please let me know. Thanks

I think any manual petcock lever from a Z1, KZ900, KZ1000, KZ650 ect, will have the same basic lever. The lever may be slightly longer or shorter length depending on model, but mechanically will work. This setup was the biggest piece of horsesheet Kawasaki ever saw fit to use, as the levers always seize up and that little extra effort to move the lever will break it right off. If they don't seize, they leak. The leak is what dries up the grease and makes them seize actually and you can replace that oring till you're blue in the face, they will still leak and seize :S

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

The handle on mine may work. The petcock itself has two outlets for fuel feed (not vaccume). Send George a PM and see if they are the same. Mine is from a 75 Z1 900.

I don't know who George is, I haven't been here long enough to know the names behind the screen names. :D

Is there another option to simply replace the whole thing? I would think the aftermarket would take care of this problem.

Pingle makes one that people claim is better than sliced bread. Either someone on here will help you out with the details, as I believe there is a plate or something this is also required. OR call Jeff & company @ Z1 Enterprises.
Here's a link that might help..

I've drilled and glued new pins in and they work fine. I use a piece of coat hanger for the pins.us
