Call me silly, but I don't tear down carbs if they are running good. Too many chances that they won't after I get done "fixing" them.... If you clean the tank and install filters you could run Seafoam in it for a while before tearing into it.
That's the easiest part: drain the tank from the petcock into a clean plastic bucket. Tip the tank and get tha last fuel out the cap.Lots of doubt on cleaning out the tank trying to figure out that one now.
