So buying a secon hand set of carb holders is a bad idea, you mean?

A guy in the south of Sweden is selling second hand parts from a newer kawasaki 650 -82, among them a set of carb holders. I was thinking of buying them and change the existing ones next winter. Since it's quite far from where I live, I can't go there and have look at them.

A new set of holders is quite expensive. Approx. 150 dollars here in Sweden. So that's why I thought of buying these second hand ones.

Thanks, that's cheaper! Have to check the shipping cost, though.

And regarding:

"NOTE: these are 4 right hand side manifolds - the left hand side is no longer available. When mounting them, you need to turn the vacuum either upwards or turned to the inside."

Any problems with that?

They also sell new vacuum plugs and allen bolts. Might as well change them too, wouldnt I?

Left or right hand makes no difference. Either all the vacuum ports point down or up. I went and got the allen carb holder screws as my phillips were stripped at the head. New holders made a HUGE difference on my bike (your results may varie), apperantly mine were rock hard and leaking. Z1 will become your best friend!!
