Stator Cover oil leak

Just replaced the gasket on my 81' k1. Now I have a leak where the wires are. Any help?

I always put a bead of semi-drying gasket sealer around the grommet with an extra dab where the paper gasket goes. Seems to work good so far.

If the wires are loose in the rubber it still won't seal.

PATTON is 100% right! Its the only source I know of. When I did mine I also used brake cleaner to make sure there was NO OIL, Then when you are putting the wires thruogh the grommett don't get the holes (perforated for you )too big and put silicone on the wires so that when you pull them into place you are pulling the silicone into the holes in the new grommet. Works every time.

I just cleaned mine out really good with brake clean and filled it up with RTV... hasn't leaked yet.
