Check the points as stated for wear, corrosin, or proper adjustment is a very good idea.

Have you replaced the fuel hose(s) (which are probably the original hoses form '80) yet?
Sitting over the winter, or even for a month or so, can clog them up almost as easily as it can clog up the carbs themselves.
