Does anyone know if the stock mag wheel weighs more or less than a stock spoke wheel?

Some 1976 Kz900 LTD had magnesium cast wheels. They were more of a Gary color than black. Can’t help with weight, but at over 40 years old they should not be used for racing. I have no first hand experience with them but been told they are brittle.

Not sure ar the exact weight but will check stock vs Lester mag wheel after work.
It seems to me that Lester are a little lighter. They are aluminum.

That's a great question.

I can't answer the question, but I can measure what I have and maybe someone else can add to the list, as I don't have a spoke wheel to measure. Anyone have a front and rear spoke wheel set they can measure, or a Kz1000 19" cast front or 16" cast rear? Anything else? Dymag? :)

I used my package scale , which is reasonably accurate. I used kilograms just because...

In all cases these wheels are completely stripped of everything but the wheel bearings. No tire, no bead locks, no disc or chain hub. Just the wheel and bearings. The GSXR wheel has a rubber valve stem as well.
