Please accept this in the humorous light which it is intended, "at least the bike has aged well!" BTW I'm really enjoying your pictures/stories!

Yeah, a matching paint job on the pit bike, and I also notice a matching set of leathers and helmet for the rider in some other pics - that's the way to do it! Looks professional. All part of the psychological aspect of racing. When a team shows up with a buttoned up operation, it can be intimidating to the other racers - a good thing. At the other end of the spectrum is the hardcore streetracer with a bike that looks as though it was dug out of the dumpster behind the bike shop, yet still runs in the 8's. Seen that more than once back in the day.

Thanks again, Dave, for the great pics!

I was rereading Mikes comments and then realized I had a little story to share that goes along with the psychological warfare part of racing .
I know I shared this somewhere before , but it bares repeating .

Our team attended a national event down south somewhere and our mentor Bill Hahn Sr. was there too. As was Mark Miller out of Florida
which rounded out the three bike teams that Bill Hahn supervised.

So , We all meet up and Bill hands out food coloring powder packs . I think we got yellow, and the other two were green and blue.
Bill tells us to add this to our Alcohol fuel. WE all had large translucent fuel jugs so anyone who walked by our pits could see them.
This was all part of Bills Psyc ops plan . He was the master..
So Bills idea was to add another variable for the other teams to think and worry about. It worked too. Other competitors protested us
and had all our fuels tested for content. It came back clean and that just pissed them off all the more LOL
So now all the other drivers who raced us are thinking about while staging is " What kind of Voodoo are these PROs doing ????? LMAO
So, Some red lighted, Some were slow at the lights, ALL Lost
Thanks Bill RIP
