Damn rain !!!
So yesterday morning with us having rain in the forecast I checked the track website and the race was still a go
so we loaded up drive the hous or so to the track get there gates locked so check the website and they called the race while we were
on the road.

Pretty bummed out was really looking forward to having the boy at the track with me for the first and he was excited
as hell to be there but it is what it is.

Race weekend coming up gonna go to the track Sat. for round two (never was a rain date for the last rain out).
Been playing with timing curves and bike's leaving and pulling the first three gears harder then it ever has
on the street so maybe I can get that first 6 sec. pass.

Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

If I remember right the Denco KZ650 back in late 70's was said to be the fastest KZ650 in the country
at 10.86. with a slick and a wheelie bar.
My goal is beat those number's no bar DOT street tire and still keep a legal tag and still street ride it
hell I was gonna ride it 50 mile round trip for a bike night last night and it f'in rained.

I got to thinking about the timing curve's I had it the box so after work tonight I looked at what I had and decided
to start from scratch so started at the pickup coil's found they were a little out of sink with each other fix'd that then
set it at 5 degrees base timing the Dyna 2000 will only let me add 34 degrees to the base timing .
Loaded a few new timing curves we'll see what happen's.

Had to start getting out the camping stuff after work tonight to night and it was hot and humid so might as well run the a/c
and see if it helped. Dropped the temp 10 degree's in about 30 min. and let me close the door's the afternoon sun icomes in my door's.

So next race is this Saturday forecast is temps around 101 degress and I just don't want to go it's a lot of work
and it's f%^&n HOT.

I think at this point without a modern set of carbs and some good cams I'm not going to go any quicker the bike just doesn't
run the mph I think it should. Right now there isn't the money to do cams and carbs
