What kind of racing are you interested in? Looks like road racing going by your avator. Some guys on here drag race now and then. That's what I do but just not ready to hit the track yet.

yep, i road race a gpz750/810. if you check the link you'll see its about road racing too.

as someone who asked the forum manager to open the racing section, I'd welcome drag racers, ice racers, hillclimbers, whatever!

we need more critical mass!

I had tried to open it but it wouldn't let me in. It is working now though. I always wanted to try a track day but nearest track was about 4 hours away so never did. Looks like it would be a blast to try though. One of the reasons I dragrace...many more tracks a lot closer. Hopefully, we can get some members to chime in. Maybe post some pic.s of their adventures, stories of their racing, etc.

Remember I'm still a novice
The reek from the last two pics was from going in really too hard and working the engine to outbrake the two bikes behind me. The bike 3 back is a GSXR750 ;)

i road my first track day since my crash last oct. we went to 1 of the local tracks called Mosport last mon. i managed to get through the day without crashing. i certainly was a lot slower than usual though. 1 of my buds went for the first time and he ended up off the track. he bruised his leg pretty good but he'll be fine. he had the prettiest bike when we started but its starting to look like mine now. lol:lol:

I'm 6ft. The seat unit has been swapped over, plus the bike has been lowered by changing the forks and rear wheel. So that may give the impression that I'm taller.

I will see if anyone has any pics from the race weekend.

Mark: You're up near Mosport? I love watching the American Lemans guys race around that track - going to have to make it a bike trip one of these years.
