Wanted: ZX550A cams

Thanks for the info. I’m aware of the ones on eBay, was just hoping to find some stateside before going that route. 

I’ve received some clarification about what I’m after, though I admit to feeling a bit over my head on this in general. Supposedly it’s covered elsewhere on this forum so I’ll have to do some research. 

All the same, I’m still after the “third performance grind” camshaft, but apparently they come from the ‘84-‘85 GPZ/ZX motor, and I only actually need the exhaust camshaft. I think Zaddict knows all about it, since it’s his thread, maybe he can chime in. 

Anyway, hope that helps clarify and maybe someone has one laying about. 

diagrams list one camshaft part number. so the inlet/outlet are the same.

I think I might just get the cams off eBay Germany unless anyone knows where else I can get them? 

Minor changes in cam profile won't hardly be noticeable in normal riding.  

Let's face it, our beloved Kawasaki KZ bikes are relics.  Beloved for great overall riding usability, simplicity, durability, and so forth.  

Spending a bunch of money for .01% in performance isn't where the value lies in these bikes.  

You do what you want, but don't fool yourself...

Fair enough. But I am talking about swapping the cams and also installing a big bore kit at the same time. Higher compression, re-jetting, adjusting cam timing if needed (and after I learn how), etc. So its hopefully going to be a whole package of mods in order to gain a noticeable performance boost.
