if it doesnt have to be stock (temporarily?), 3D printing might be an option.
pretty cheap, and more than adequate for longevity with PETG or ABS material. With some prep, you could even make the finish appear "stock" so it doesnt have the layer lines that go with 3D printing.

I 3d printed one for a kz650 I had. I think it was PLA, but abs or petg would be preferred. If you want a really nice part, find a company with an MJF nylon printer.
I could send you the model, but I have no idea how close it is to the kz400
