1980 GPz 1100 parts wanted

A member of the ZRXOA is looking for a fairing and correct front master cylinder for a 1980 GPz 1100. I guess he is afeared to come over here and ask for himself, so I am asking for him.

Wasn't 1981 the first year of the GPZ1100? No fairing on the 1981 model.

Just passing along the request.

Partzilla shows a fairing for the B1.

www.partzilla.com/catalog/kawasaki/motor...pz-kz1100-b1/fairing

However, the fsm does not show one. Perhaps he is wanting to add one. Iwill ask.

Good GPZ1100 article with a picture of an 81 model. I'm not sure a later model fairing would even fit with the rather grotesquely large gauge pod.

I suspect he would need all new gauges, headlight assembly, fairing bracket and turn signals.

It almost hurts that you would use Wikipedia to double check my golden information.(joking) In the text it says the ENGINE coating was changed from black paint to a more durable black chrome, actually EXHAUST coating! I had a friend who owned a 1981 model, I owned an 82 and another friend owned an 83.

Hi, first of all:
the forum guys are right.
The very first GPZ 1100 (KZ1100B1) came out for 1981
It has NO fairing and a very big sized and ugly intrument panel.
It is the same as shown in the link´s photo.
TRhat is why many people changed this and modified it to B2 ( of 1982 ) equipment.
I did it first time in the mid 1980s....
He will need this fairing with windscreen and several brackets.
And either he sets the fairning far in front of the (much too large sized) gauges or he uses those instruments of a 1982 GPZ1100B2 or - better - of a 1983 ELR KZ1000R2.
The B2 gauges has a liquid cristal panel, whch diooes not fit to the electrical equipement (wiring harness) of the 1981.
The ELR one has in the center a fuel meter, this can be connected simple If I remember right.
But all those parts are very heavy to find and rather expensive.
And I´m sure this means also for Texas.
Regards

PS: I have all this stuff in stock, what he would need, but if I would sell, I must ask for resonable price.
Damn this is old, but fuck it, it's gold!

This is a gpz1100 B1 that i bought a few bits from, the seller said the body parts were gone but the nose fairing was an original, looks like that partszilla drawing. Or was it an aftermarket part?

That front fairing looks aftermarket.

Are you able to get the seat lock, from that bike? I'm looking for one for my '82 GPZ1100.

I can give you his "whats app" number if you want, it was his preferred line of communication but he lives in Italy and im not sure what he has left but the frame is gone. He has the seat, i know that much but as for the lock... im not sure.
