Partzilla shows a fairing for the B1.

However, the fsm does not show one. Perhaps he is wanting to add one. Iwill ask.

the forum guys are right.
The very first GPZ 1100 (KZ1100B1) came out for 1981
It has NO fairing and a very big sized and ugly intrument panel.
It is the same as shown in the link´s photo.
TRhat is why many people changed this and modified it to B2 ( of 1982 ) equipment.
I did it first time in the mid 1980s....
He will need this fairing with windscreen and several brackets.
And either he sets the fairning far in front of the (much too large sized) gauges or he uses those instruments of a 1982 GPZ1100B2 or - better - of a 1983 ELR KZ1000R2.
The B2 gauges has a liquid cristal panel, whch diooes not fit to the electrical equipement (wiring harness) of the 1981.
The ELR one has in the center a fuel meter, this can be connected simple If I remember right.
But all those parts are very heavy to find and rather expensive.
And I´m sure this means also for Texas.
Regards
PS: I have all this stuff in stock, what he would need, but if I would sell, I must ask for resonable price.
Damn this is old, but fuck it, it's gold!

Are you able to get the seat lock, from that bike? I'm looking for one for my '82 GPZ1100.

I can give you his "whats app" number if you want, it was his preferred line of communication but he lives in Italy and im not sure what he has left but the frame is gone. He has the seat, i know that much but as for the lock... im not sure.
