26 Jan 2026 09:02Stusco as you are in the UK Rapid Metals can supply 18mm 303 stainless (the length you need is £11.40 + VAT and postage so probably around £20 all in) you may need to get it shaved if your bushings are slightly under 18mmId have one but mine is 18mm

Got mine today. Used it now im happy to button up the bottom end after getting my crank rebuilt and welded

I was able to buy a 17mm drill stock rod off amazon I think but It did have to be precision ground to 16.998 or so.

Just bought one in France, 18mm x 400mm 303 Stainless 23€, The delvery was 10 of that!
The spec is H9 which is what Nessism posted. +0/-0.043mm
The H6 spec that has also been posted has a much tighter tolerance +0/-0.016 and coupled with the 1mm straightness over a metre might mean the H6 bar needs fettling.
