1978-80 kz 1000 Z1R TECHOMETER

I came across the z1r tachometer in trade. I tried to research what's fair and there's not many that have been sold lately one is listed on eBay for 309.00 . This one's a little better but it would need to be refinished for show. It does operate in the needle moves appropriately, and The jewels all look good.I guess I'll ask about $ 185.00 unless you can show me it's not worth that please let me know.

Jim, It's nutty, just plum nutty i say these days peddling Kawasaki bits. One just never knows? I can say besides the back plate and faceplate nothing sets these any different then a 1978 KZ1000. The 11K drive is exactly the same as well as the upper can (black part that covers the face). Don't know how Your upper can got beat-up, they normally don't see the light of day under the cockpit cover?? Just the very top is normally exposed. But You did denote it was a trade, probably bounced around in a box with other parts. You'd found a sale of which i would like to of been a part of, ha. I'd be lucky to fetch 250USD for this fully restored one. These Tachs are more often sold, it's the Z1R Speedos that bring the money, they were unique and unlike anything else that ND produced. You didn't perhaps get one of those too did you??

Thanks for the offer Jim!! Unfortunately i wouldn't have a use for it. I have shelves of Z1/KZ and triple gauges and parts already, ha. I can't even remember where i'd gotten this Z1R Tach?? But..Good Luck selling it!!
