Anyone needing a 79-80 KZ1000 head? Needs a valve seat job. It's already been surfaced. Has the cam-caps original to it. I pulled it off a drag turbo bike years ago. Someone fudged-up the tach drive opening with a pipe tapered plug. So running a tach you might have to go electronic or the seat of your pants and feel the revs. I'll get some decent pics if any interest.

Forgot to mention, stock size valves and a cam cover to suit.

More stuff. Tired of moving it from top of box to top of another box. Comes with decent shim buckets and spring seats. NO Valves

In the middle of nowhere, Paola Kansas. Aren't You a British bike enthusiast too? Might like the looks of one of these, 1973 Commando, gotta be versatile around here. Restoring for a friend. Noticed on Jims post You'd inquired about how i get that o-ring bowl thingy to function. Did you get the 28's done for your friends Z1R?

Another unorthodox application of possibilities. I do my fair share of the GT750 carbs, early slide, later CV. Works on all, and for a reason. Not shown but a similar "thinking" GS400 Mikuni float bowl. Note these have all air correction connections centralized in the middle of bowl and casting. Over time the casting bows at the corners leaving the center to just suck sloshing petrol from the bowl. I create a labyrinth of correcting rubber to compensate. Just sent a set of the later CV GT750's off to a friend in Virginia that implemented this wacky procedure. Ran great. Ya won't find this mindset in any FSM.

Yeh, Brit bikes all over the shop. Grew up not far from you, Fort Scott, Ks. Small world ain't it. The Z1R is mine and getting rebuilt after 30 years of neglect.

It is a small globe for sure! Haven't been to Ft Scott for a while and You know why, nothing there to see, ha. Used to have a couple lots out at Sugar Valley in Mound City, basically a mowing job for the weekends.

I'm thinking that those retainers are anodized aluminum. Still good stuff, just not as "trick" as titanium would be...Some RC SOB spring retainers. A complete set of 8. Maybe TI retainers, would assume??
