Neway Cutters and Valve Guide Pilot for a 1978 KZ-1000

Does anyone knows the valve guide pilot size and part numbers of the 45 - 60 and 30 degree Neway cutter for a 1978 KZ 1000?  Is the valve guide pilot 7.00mm the correct size? Picture is for illustration purposes only.

7mm should be correct. They have oversize pilots also for worn guides.

Kawasaki labels the seat angles differently compared to Neway.  For example, an angle Kawasaki denotes 30 degrees is denoted 60 degrees by Neway.

On the Neway website they have a size calculator.  Make sure to account for both intake and exhaust seats.

Thank you Nessism and Vinsky for your help. After asking this question I did a group search and found a post by Katit from 2021 and his KZ650. He also included a picture of the part numbers that I believe should work for my bike. I need to start searching the group first, before creating new topics.

I have a set of cutters, originally purchased for a Suzuki GS1000.  Unlike Kawasaki, Suzuki specified a flatter top cut, and steeper throat cut (to go with the 45 seats).

When cleaning up the head on my 750, the intake valve seat was inconsistent; 1.0mm on one side, and 1.5mm on the other (max width is supposed to be 1.0mm).  On a lark, I dropped the Suzuki cutter into the port and it cleaned up the seat width problem perfectly.  I was thrilled.  Anyway, before buying anything, you might want to check min and max diameter of each cutter, to be sure it can cover both intake and exhaust sizes on your bike.  Also, consider looking for a machine shop with a centerless grinder so your valves can be trued up properly.  A good centerless grinder will make the valves as good as new.

The 650/750 engines use smaller valves than the 900/1000, so I would look at this link first :

All I did was search "Neway cutter" on here and looked for some pics. The cutter part numbers needed are included in that thread.

The only tool i have Kofla the 7mm reamer. I just have my machine work done by a local head shop that's been around since the 70's. I've always "picked" my battles because they have seats available off the shelf if needed. From memory, new guides installed/3-angle valve seat job and face the existing valves for around 200bucks if not less. Was just never worth my time buying stuff at that price.   Good luck finding Your collection of cutters though!!

Thank you for all the valuable information and the links that has been shared by everyone, I really appreciated. Nessism, the tip about the centerless grinder is also a great suggestion, thanks!

These are the Neway cutters i use for a 3 angle cut .
They will cover most engines with the valves in the 30mm to 40mm range such a z750/900/1000/1100 and GS Suzuki fours etc.
Top pair 205 and 208 covers the inlets and bottom pair 270 and 203 cover the exhausts.
The pilot is .375" - 140 series solid taper 7mm (Part 140275) which also covers most Aircooled Zeds and GS's etc.
I'm in the UK but found that the best and cheapest supplier was BEAM EQUIPMENT in the US.
The 208 and 203 are actually 31/46 degree as i prefer a race cut but you will find the appropriate 30/45s for a factory cut on BEAM's website which are CU230 for the EX and CU234 for the IN.

Thank you for adding the name of the Neway cutters supplier and the list of part numbers. I found one company called Cylinder Head Supply ( Woodward Equipment )   This is a boatload of valuable information. Thanks!
