Riviting a chain.

Hello all in KZ world.
A small problem that is causing me some frustration is finding a riviting tool for a 630 pitch chain. I can not find one anywhere. Ones that have been recomended to me, once i have looked them up, still only go as large as 530. Does anyone know of a tool that will rivit a 630.

It you remove the swingarm (a great opportunity to lube the bearings), you can use a homemade punch and the back side of your vice to peen the rivet.

630 chains are a bear to rivet. That's why most of us switch to 530 chain and sprockets. I would say Nessism's suggestion would be the best. I have the DID  tool to rivet my chains and it is by far the best one out there. Unfortunately they dont list the 630 chain for there tool.

Thanks for the sugestions, what i might do is put the clip link in and take it to the bike shop. They must have something that will do this. Its crazy, why sell the chain, if you cant buy the tool. When this chain wears  ill convert it to 530.

+1.
Nothing wrong with clip links as long as they are fitted facing in the correct direction and the clip isn't distorted and loose by repeated re-use or mis handling.
I run them on most of my bikes and our 250hp KZ1000 turbo drag bike does just fine with one..
