Nice craftsmanship!  That took some time...

If the center piece aloe is wide enough & shaped such that it blocks small parts from dropping down the camchain tunnel, that would be advantageous.

Indeed, the center-piece of the concept is sufficient for the purpose.

With proper tension adjustment, the chain is enabled to move freely with crankshaft rotation...in both directions!

I too...all but a few hand tools, sorry ​​​​at times to say.
