Hey again! I'm sorry guys , I seem to have a monopoly on subjects in the tool section right now! But this is a good one I promise! As I might have mentioned I'm trying to make up a complete tool kit for my 1000st and rather than wait till I find and spend a load on a genuine feeler gauge, I've found a replica on ebay for £20 ! But I'm wondering just how much it looks like a genuine one...does anyone have a pic of the real deal for comparison? ;) also if anyone has a clear pic of all the tools in a 1000st kit that would be great too thanks! :)

Factory used three types, stamped, etched, ink stamp.
Check user manual photo, repo looks nice.

Excellent thanks :cheer: that's just the picture I was after :) I'm happy to see that mine looks just like the bottom gauge,
I don't think I'll ever use my gauge (after all I've got 5 multi fold out gauges from Mac, snap on, blue point etc!) But I do love to have complete things especially bike tool kits! ;)

I have two but they are put away somewhere. If I find them I'll take a photo.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Interesting. Here's a picture of the 1977 KZ650-C1 feeler gauge. Ed

Well if I had an OEM real deal feeler gage, it would be in a safety deposit box at a bank for safe keeping.

Just reviving this thread to ask where the feeler gauge goes in the toolkit? My 750 toolkit has the feeler gauge in a small pocket on the outside but so far all the toolkits I've seen for the KZ1000/KZ900 don't have this pocket.

I have only one tool kit I purchased for my ‘76 A4 project. It has one white snap button, but it has the little pouch on the back for the feeler gauge.

The early Z1 had a tool pouch with Velcro closing, said to be discontinued late Z1A, But I recently purchased an original 1976 Kz900 LTD parts manual and it still shows the Velcro closing pouch???

This is the pocket on the back of my 750 tool kit. The replacement bag that I got from CMS doesn't have it (although it's apparently the same part number) and the kit for my KZ1000A doesn't have one either.
