One of these days I'm gonna spend a little time and grind up a few..... have read a number of you guys suggesting that lately and you've talked me into it.:blush:
1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

I have 3 of these sets spread around my rather large garage so I always have a set close.

I bought all 3 when they were on sale for about $6. I bought my first set about 10 years ago and it's still my go to set.
Don't fix it until it's broken.

Good question. They can be either Phillip or JIS, bit not both. The dimensions of the two types are different as can be seen in the diagram below. Notice the Phillips has the 19 degree point at the end. That point prevents them from seating properly in JIS screws and causes them to cam out. Ed

Yes. If they do not have the points on them they should work fine. I have a set of what were originally Phillips screwdriver tips from which I ground off the points, and they fit as well as the genuine JIS tips I have. Image below shows how well my modified #3 tip fits. Ed
