Has anyone here got & used one? I see they are sold SEPERATELY or in a PAIR . Which one is applicable to our motorcycle application?

Yes I bought the same tool from Matco through our dealer as the pair. The one for the smaller valves is the one you will need. It's for like 7mm stems. Worked great with the head already off but should work good with some air in the cylinders with the head on. B)

Also I paid over $90 for mine. And invest in a good heavy rubber or dead blow mallet to hit it with it's really hard to just push it with your hands.

For the handful of fasteners that need removing and the cost of the gaskets, there's rarely a good reason to not pull the head if the valve keepers need to be removed.

If it's to replace seals, chances are the valves are all coked up on the port side and need to be removed and cleaned anyway.

If it's for a race bike that valve springs are a worry....that's a bit different.

magnet to remove and small needle nose and screw driver to install. Im faster like that, than the guy with the 90 dollar tool.
Also install all pistons into cylinders with my fingers and rock pistons with tiny screw driver handle.
Did I mention Im oldschool? :woohoo:

Remember, don't work on your bike so much you never ride it.
