It's just one bolt through the lower rear mount and rests on the support in the front. It could be flipped up, but I didn't think the cart was sturdy enough to do it.

I think somebody mentioned that earlier. seems to me you'd have to do so much fabbing to it that you might as well build something from scratch.

Doesn't seem like too much fabbing. Would it have to be more than a two real strong L-brackets?

All you would have to do is make a head that could mount to the engine and also go into the pipe that holds it in the stand. You could still use it for alot of other stuff too. I made one from scratch that wasn't that big and it cast me about 32 dollars. It also doesn't have wheels. I'll try to find a picture of it.

Ive had the HF stand. It worked well and deff was a good price. I rebuilt a chevy 350 and a toyota 22r on it just fine. But those were car engines, you would have to make brackets im sure for a motorcycle engine.

Downfall of any stand is you still have to LIFT that heavy pig of a motor up into it for bolting on.... :pinch:
Need one that while laying flat surface aka Bench top, curved arms slide into engine mounting holes, then bolt on, then pushing/rotation of the curved arms down for raising engine up....
Think rear wheel stands for raise concept..... Once up, the stand is also design for locking into position 90 & 180 degree rotations.... Now you're talking...

Old Man Rock, awesome idea! Have you fabed one yet? Something like that would be such a back saver.
I modified this HF wagon to hand-pull a 14 foot sail boat too/from the water and campsite. 2 people can carry this fiberglass boat but its difficult as there is really no where to hold onto. I modified this wagon so that its small enough to fit in the back of my truck but will stretch out in the center to about 11 feet to accommodate the boat. I've loaded it up with 6 big ice-chests as well at a school outing. Seems to be pretty stout (.....until it breaks)
Anyhow, my Z1B has no center stand so I tore my bike down while the frame was resting on 4 small HF car stands. I really wanted to clean the motor/frame outside but didn't want to put the anything back on. Figured the wagon could handle it's weight so I used my floor jack to get it high enough and wooden 4x4 blocks as needed. Its easy enough to get onto my 4x8 trailer (once again a FH item...:S )and have carted it to the carwash / welding shop. I just had to be certain that everything was braced and strapped down tight.
One of my favorite sayings...work smarter not harder.

I finaly built one for use on 650 motors... about $7 worth of tube steel and brazed it together in about 10 minutes. Bolts together with 3/8" threaded rod.
