I have a standard compression tester from HF. Has any one ever had any success modding one of these to perform a leakdown test?

U need 2 guages that will read 100 psi acuratly. join them together with small piping and T's. fill the pipe in between the 2 with epoxy , then drill a .040" hole in the epoxy.
now put an air fiting on 1 end and a spark plug fitting on the other end.

if your compression tester has a schrader valve in the bottom of the hose u need to remove it. i just use a 1/4 turn valve with a gauge mounted between the valve and the tester hose. set your regulator for what pressure you want. hook it up and let it presureize. close the valve and watch the gauge. works for me helps find bad vlaves. u can also hook the air hose right to the tester hose to provide constant air if its leaking bad and your trying to locate it. i've done this on automotive apps.
