4 in 2 exhaust

I have a 78 KZ1000A2A. Currently I have a 4 into 1 exhaust system with a super trapp muffler. If I install a 4 into 2 exhaust system will there be any increase in performance over what I currently have on my bike? I noticed MAC has a 4 into 2 that will fit my bike.

Doubt it. Any gains from less restriction of 4-2 might be offset by weight gain. The weight loss of 1 side is I believe the biggest performance upgrade in going to a 4-1. 4-1 might have breathed easier than a stock system in the 70's. The new ZX14 has 4-2 for less restriction.
