Does any one know of a vendor that sells slotted cam sprockets for a 1982 GPz750? Thanks for any replies.

I don't know of anyone selling them, but you could take them to a machine shop and have them slotted, or even do it yourself with a rat tail file. If you shave .040" off the head, then you need to elongate the bolt holes by .040". A little more won't hurt anything, but be sure to use loctite on the bolts once you have the cams retimed.

Actually, after thinking about it for a couple seconds I realized that the holes need to be elongated a little less than .040" because they are on a smaller diameter than the sprocket teeth. It really don't make much difference, but I figured I'd correct myself before someone else did :D

I kind of thought I would have to slot the stock sprockets. I have access to a machine shop at work...I just thought I'd ask if the after market had any before I milled on the stock ones!

How much did you mill off the head, and did you do it yourself on a mill at work?
Use a face mill or a flycutter?
