Is heli-coil no longer an option?

Mine stripped out also, pulled pan (kerker also)drilled and tapped to next larger size. Found out I drilled slightly angled! Now every oil change I wrap threads with teflon tape and install a new fiber washer (bought plenty) Has worked great for 10 years but it bugs me so will be checking ebay for replacement pan. Really the proper way to fix that is to pull the pan and either do as I did or helicoil it, both of which require drilling. Can be done on bike but really iffy with the shavings flying around! Good luck.

Sounds like now would be a good time to upgrade to a GPz750 oil pan and cooler.

Don't like to dredge up old posts, but does anyone know where to pick up one of these universal winged drain plugs? I've searched the web and can't seem to find anything..

Auto parts stores sometimes have them, but a hardware or plumbing supply specialty store will be more apt to carry them.
