Where does the kickstart gear mesh, in the trans or onto the crank?

I'm looking for a drive for a aisin supercharger from a 600cc car for my KZ750 twin. The mounts, carbs etc. are easy enough, but powering the blower is the problem.

I don't need the kickstart, so if I could engage it permanebtly, this should work fine. There is no huge drag on the pulley of the blower at low speeds, so the forces on the kick shaft should be fine.

The other idea is a belt run from the outer rim of the flywheel/generator, but this is much further from the centreline of the bike, so would be quite obstructive and showy.

Any ideas people?

The kickstarter drives the clutch basket, so you would have no supercharger drive whenever you pulled in the clutch :)
Try kicking it while holding in the clutch and you will see what I mean.

Maybe you can look around for a small turbo-charger. They are exhaust driven.

You'd have to re-route your exhaust to flow through the turbo, which is do-able I think.

There are a few small turbo-charged cars. Check in the wrecking yards.
