I joined this forum a while ago and made a new member post but it seems to have disappeared... oh well. I'll make another soon.
I have a small problem. I have a 75 Z1B (chassis # Z1F 50385) and I recieved the top end in boxes. the lower end is still together and I just had the head freshened up and I find myself missing some things I need.
Im totally missing the chain tensioner completely and the bolts that hold it to the jugs.
im missing the upper guide sprocket/bracket/bolts as well.
Im also looking to get some head stud nuts and washers as I only have 4 of the nuts and none of the washers. also what is the head stud torque spec. i have a KZ1000 manual which is pretty close but i dont want to be wrong.
Im pretty sure the engine is correct for the bike but just in case someone knows where I could check, the engine number is KZT00AE052405.
I think I have everything else to put the bike back together... well other than the little o-ring that sits on top of the jugs and in that little groove... any one have any of these parts that I can buy? thanks
oh yeah that brings up another question... the headgasket that I was given for the bike is a victor reinz one piece gasket. Ive seen some pics of some two piece head gaskets around and I was curious if I had the right gasket.
thanks
Brian

your engine # sounds like a KZ1000.

Bob_Z1 is correct...you need to determine what motor is in your bike...look on the front of the jugs for an embossed '1015' or a '903'...measure the cylinder diameter...etc. The gasket kits are slightly different, I think.

Now I need to find out what motor I have in that chassis. is there a listing out there that has the KZ1000 production frame numbers vs frame numbers so that I can see what year motor I have before I buy anything? thanks
I already have a manual for a kz1000 so it might actually be the correct manual for the engine lol. so I guess the KZ1000 emblems that came screwed onto the side covers that I found in one of the boxes of parts that came with the bike arent that far off lol.
