The only way to get more power out of a stock bike is to tear it apart and rebuild it from a factory parts bin so as you can use parts that are exactly to spec. This is called blueprinting. You will have to modify, and therefore it would not be stock, your bike to get more HP. Without going into expensive engine modifications you are left with 4-1 exhaust, air filter pods, degree in cams, after market ignition coils, good quality rubber and progressive springs front and rear. Maybe a flatter bar to get a bit of an aero advantage. Using a rotary tool to match up your intake manifolds with engine and carbs smoothes air flow nicely. Not sure but some gains to be had from advancing ignition just a tad.

Sounds like a hell of a lot of work for incremental improvements.

Buy a jet kit and a pipe. They are the two most economical performance items and require no motor tear down.
Next on the stock parts list would be a good competition valve job and maybe rings or overbore.
The trivial amount of power you may get from degreeing stock cams isn't worth the work involved to go after it. The stockers won't be all that far off.
Now, there's also the GPz750 cam route. You might be able to find some stock GPz 750 cams for little to no money and install them...with the jet kit and pipe.

And if you can find a 83-85 GPz750 cylinder head, that would help as well as the cams, but it has no provision for a mechanical tach. You can also cut .030" off the head for an increase in compression, but you will have to slot the cam sprockets and degree them at that point.
And for around $550 for kit and boring, you can make it an 810.
It ain't cheap and it ain't easy
