not sure if it is there or not, but you might check kz400.com there's lots of 440 info there too. The Kawasaki shop manual for these things is a godsend. Pick on up on ebay there's almost always atleast one on there and they can be had for under $20 if you are patient. I was able to do a ground up restore on mine using that manual, and plenty of advice from the guys on here. I would love to see a pic of your bike I am thinking about lowering the rear on mine and blacking it out would love to see how it looks. Good luck.

Fellow 440 owner here, feeling a little discouraged.

I live in Albuquerque, NM, recently got my 82 kz440 started, but its backfiring and running both lean and rich simultaneously, Lean on right and rich on left. I was hoping you could tell me what you set your valves to, my guess is that resetting my valves can only improve how it runs, so long as I do it correctly of course.
